I'm an idiot.

I set out Princess yesterday, and nobody bought it. At first I assumed it was a dud, but when I went the whole day without a purchase, I decided to check the vendors, and make sure I'd turned them on and hadn't added extra spaces to the box names. They were on and the boxes had the appropriate number of spaces in their names. So I went back to assuming it was just a dud, until I got an IM from somebody saying they couldn't buy it. I checked the vendor and couldn't figure out why, and then I realized that every box had "(Miriel)" at the front of the name.

My vendors aren't set up for that.

So I changed the names, and hopefully I"ll get some sales now.

This week's release is Princess, a prim tiara that I've been sitting on for months and months. It comes in my usual three metal colors (gold, silver, and black), and seven different gemstones. The gemstone textures are all hand drawn, which is the reason it took me months to release it in the first place.

(I had to get the square textures to match the existing round ones. It was easy enough to get two things that looked similar close up or (to a lesser extent) from far away, but getting textures that looked similar under both circumstances was a pain. They'd look fine close up, but I'd zoom out and one would look darker, or lighter, or sharper. Or they'd look okay from a distance, but if I zoomed in, one was obviously more blurry than the other.)

It's sold singly or in collections of all gold, silver, or black items, and is available in copy/mod/no transfer and no copy/mod/transfer versions.

I'm pretty blah creatively right now. I can't think of stuff to make, and when I can, I either run up against my lack of technical skill (I can't make a dress with lacy trim because I can't draw lace, for instance) or I can't nail down specifics. "I want to make a Medieval dress with a big skirt!" does nothing to help me when I'm trying to figure out what decoration, if any, I should put around the waist.

So I've been using my time to work on my interminable rebuild (so boring!) and put together demo copies of my jewelry. I'm trying to have one good demo of each item and each texture, so any given piece will usually have a few demos, so that I can cover all the textures. I'm not sure if the demos are a good idea (copybot!), but I hope they'd give people a better idea of what the primwork and textures actually look like.

It took me about two months to release this (my gemstone texture troubles were holding me up), but finally:

Sultana is a prim necklace and earrings set, available in three metals (gold, black, and silver) and nine different gemstones. All the gem textures are hand drawn. There's a new gem texture this time, too: tourmaline. It's a bright aqua; I'm sure it'll sell terribly but I really like it. Oh, and the mandarin garnet looks really, really sparkly.

It's sold singly or in collections of all silver, gold, or black pieces. And everything's available in both copy/mod/no transfer and no copy/mod/transfer versions.

Work on my new store continues. I had to tear down the old one -- it was really primmy, and I'd accidentally deleted whole portions of it -- but I've started to texture the newest one I've built. It's kind of squat, but eh, you can't have everything.

I'm 95% certain I'm going to make the interior of it full bright. For one, it'll look better at night for people who don't have lighting on. (Better, but not perfect. The unlit avatar will still be dark.) Also, I've got stained glass windows which look better at night when they're full bright, and things will look really weird if I only have the windows full bright. Lastly, I'm getting persistent and extremely aggravating prim drift. I think my prims are rotating, ever so slightly... at any rate, despite my best efforts, my builds have all ended up with seams. Keeping the build full bright keeps these invisible.

I'm also going to be adding demos of my stuff in the new build, and some posing stands. I think I might make some poses for the stands, something a little easier to work with (I dislike adjusting bracelets using the standard pose) and easier on the eyes.

Blossom is a prim necklace and earrings set, available in three metals (gold, silver, and black) and ten different gemstones. All the gemstone textures are hand drawn. Each color combination is sold singly or as part of a collection of all gold, silver, or black pieces. Also, each item is available in both copy/mod/no transfer and no copy/mod/transfer versions.

People in my update group have free access to a copy/mod/no transfer "Valentine's Collection" -- copies of the set in diamond, morganite, and ruby, in all the metal colors.

The morganite and peridot are new. I suspect the morganite will sell pretty well, but I'm unsure about the peridot. I like it, at any rate.

Bleah, I'm having one of those days where I can't put stuff together to save my life. I've tried to make a dress, but I'm not inspired and it didn't look good anyway. I tried to make some hair, but that didn't work, either.

On the plus side, I did fix my square gemstone textures: they now match my round ones, and I can texture a few things that have been sitting in my inventory for months. The amethysts wound up really sparkly, but that's okay.
