Jewelry Expo raised US$256.81 total for Heifer International. (The total is so much lower than last year's mostly because sim rental is expensive. The auctioned jewelry didn't pull in quite as much, either.)
When donating, I rounded up to an even US$260. This bought us a water buffalo and a share of a rabbit trio, though I'm not sure that the money isn't just dumped into one big slush fund.

well done - the expo was both fun to shop at and be part of
you put urself on the line and worked hard so a big ty to u
it might be as much as u wanted but its more than the charity had before u did this
Good work, Miriel! While the amount may be lower, everyone still managed to put some through this economic crunch time.
Maybe it was just me, but it looked like a lot of vendors didn't actually have one of their items connected to the donation process? Or perhaps didn't put it out in front enough? That could be something to consider for next year. I can also see how people are starting to get donation fatigue (or expo fatigue) with all these expos that keep springing up. Not exactly sure how to handle that, but perhaps that is something to consider.
I also ran into a bunch of people this year that didn't know what it was or that it was going on. o_O; I consider the Jewelry Expo as big as hair Fair (not literally), so that is odd.

No, they didn't, because it wasn't and will never be required.
Way to go everyone involved!
You (and everyone involved) did a wonderful job! Thank you so much for putting on the expo!
I respect your decision on that, Miriel. :)
